Millions of viewers will mourn Jon Stewart when he retires from “The Daily Show” later this year, and Melissa McCarthy will certainly be one of them.
The “Spy” actress showed her devotion when she strutted onto the Comedy Central set Wednesday wearing a kimono covered in black and white photos of the longtime host — much to his delight.
“I’ve wanted to say this for a long time, I am all over you like a cheap suit,” quipped Stewart, before asking: “What odd Time Square tee-shirt shop do they sell this at?”
“Sadly, this is me making it — this is how I’ll rock myself to sleep every night when you stop doing the show,” his super fan told him, while spinning around to show off her very unique outfit.
McCarthy currently stars in “Spy” alongside Jude Law and action star Jason Statham, who she claims is not all he seems.
“That voice is not real, he’s not British and he’s got a very high-pitched squeaky voice in real life,” she revealed, before Stewart compared the tough guy to “Alvin and the Chipmunks.”
“The Daily Show” airs on Comedy Central at 11 p.m. weeknights.
