At least one Stars Hollow resident is not coming back to the “Gilmore Girls” revival on Netflix.

Melissa McCarthy had long been rumored to skip the revival due to her her film career having skyrocketed since her days of playing Sookie on the WB dramedy, but she’s clarifying the reason now that the new series is official.

“Thanks for the invite, but sadly no one asked me or Sookie to come back to Stars Hollow,” she answered a fan on Twitter who was pleading for her return. “Wish them all the best!!”

Netflix and Warner Bros TV, which produces the show, did not immediately return TheWrap’s requests for comment.

The new series, which is untitled, will be produced by Dorothy Parker Drank Here Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.

Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Scott Patterson and Kelly Bishop are returning, and Sean Gunn and Keiko Ageno are also on board to reprise their roles.
