Streamer’s standard ad-supported plan will now run $5.99 per month
Hulu is both increasing and lowering its subscription prices, with Hulu with Live TV raising its prices $5 to $44.99 per month, while its standard ad-supporting streaming service will move from $7.99 to $5.99 per month.
Hulu’s “no commercials” monthly plan will remain $11.99 per month, along with its $12.99 combo subscription with Spotify. The price hike on Hulu with Live TV now makes the service $5 more expensive than YouTube TV, which announced on Wednesday it now covers 98 percent of the U.S.
Earlier this month, Hulu announced that it hit 25 million total subscribers across all of its plans, including 1 million Hulu with Live TV customers. Hulu’s price decrease on its basic ad-supported streaming plan comes a week after Netflix raised its prices on its standard plan from $10.99 to $12.99 per month.
