Meryl Poster could be coming back to work with Bob and Harvey Weinstein very soon.
An individual close to the situation confirmed to TheWrap that The Weinstein Company has offered Poster a position running its television division. If she accepts the job, the former Miramax executive will lead the company’s robust 10-person television staff.
Poster is no stranger to working for the Weinsteins – she spent 16 years at Miramax. She was co-president of production when she left the company in 2005.
After Miramax, Poster went to NBC Universal, whose merger with Comcast received government approval Tuesday, where she had a movie and television first-look deal.
That deal, conveniently for The Weinstein Company, expires Feb. 1.
