After news broke that Michael B. Jordan and Lupita Nyong’o are in talks to join Chadwick Boseman in Ryan Coogler‘s “Black Panther,” the hashtag #BlackPantherSoLIT was born on Twitter.

Many expressed their joy about a movie that will feature such a young and African American cast, directed by a man that has helmed critically-acclaimed movies like “Fruitvale Station” and “Creed” (both starring Jordan). On Thursday, TheWrap reported that Nyong’o is in talks to play Boseman’s love interest.

“Can we appreciate that we have 3 dark skinned leads in a major Hollywood superhero movie? ,” one user wrote on Twitter.

for real. Theaters full of black people watching an action movie as a change from the million slave movies we’ve gotten,” tweeted another.

Even director Ava DuVernay chimed in, tweeting: “Had to text and make sure he found someone to show him . Because epic! Cannot wait!”

April Reign, the creator of the hashtag #OscarsSoWhite, also voiced her support, writing, “ we gotta swag surf in the theater. For the culture. .” Later, however, she added that she doesn’t want any more big name actors to join the cast of “Black Panther” because “It’s incredibly important to open the tent. Give some unknowns a shot. Cast new folks.”

Production for the film is set to start in 2017, and the movie is looking at a Feb. 16 release date.
