Michael Bolton Sings Trump Adviser John Bolton’s Horrific Ideas About War (Video)

Why should Grammy winner change his name? The national security advisor is the one who sucks

Do you find the political views of President Trump’s new pick for National Security Adviser John Bolton to be completely unpalatable? Well, what about if Grammy winner Michael Bolton was to turn some of the former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations’ thoughts on war into song?

Stephen Colbert tried exactly that out on Thursday.

Accompanied by “Late Show” house band leader Jon Batiste, the “When a Man Loves a Woman” crooner turned the below John Bolton newspaper quotes into beautiful song lyrics.

“The threat is imminent/The inescapable conclusion/is that Iran will not negotiate away/its nuclear program.”

And, we suppose, the chorus: “Time is terribly short/but a strike can still succeed.”

(Michael) Bolton than sings about (John) Bolton’s “walrus mustache,” which apparently can “kill on command.”
