Michael J. Fox to Guest on ‘The Good Wife’

Former “Spin City” star will play a litigator who faces off against the character played by Julianna Marguiles

Michael J. Fox is back on television for the first time since 2009 with a guest stint on CBS legal drama "The Good Wife."

Fox, who is battling Parkinson's disease, has only taken three roles in the past six years– a 2009 guest arc on "Rescue Me," a stint on "Boston Legal" four years ago and two episodes of "Scrubs" in 2004.

On "The Good Wife," Fox will play Simon Canning, a litigator who battles Alicia Florrick, played by series star Julianna Marguiles, in the courtroom.

"The Good Wife" debuted in September 2009. Season two begins Sept. 28.
