Dressed in a cargo shorts and wearing a red baseball cap, Michael Moore descended on Book Expo America in New York this Wednesday to read from his upcoming book, "Here Comes Trouble: Stories From My Life."
The notoriously left-leaning, Oscar-winning documentary filmmaker tweeted the news to his followers soon after.
"The cat is out of the bag! I'm at the annual Book Expo in NYC & have just unveiled the project I've been working on for the past year…"
He continued: "My first hardcover book in 8 years: 'HERE COMES TROUBLE: Stories from My Life' to be released Sept. 13. U will be surprised."
Other tweets indicate that the book — which he refers to as an "anti-memoir" — will be a collection of two dozen stories, primarily about events that took place before the filming of his first movie, "Roger & Me."
"Crazy stuff!" he tweeted.
"Here Comes Trouble" will be embargoed until September 13.
In the clip below, Moore reads an excerpt, about an appearance he made a few years back on a news program where the host told him that people want him dead. It contains the sentence, "For the first time in my life, I decided I was going to punch someone right in the face."
Crazy stuff, indeed!
CSPAN 2's Book TV will broadcast his 45-minute presentation in its entirety this Sunday at 5pm.
