Michael Rapaport Joins Barstool Sports: ‘I Love That They’re Irreverent’

Michael Rapaport has joined Barstool Sports as a content creator and podcast host, the actor announced on Monday.

“I am here to let you know that I am taking my talents to Barstool Sports,” Rapaport said in a video he posted on Twitter. “I look at it as like when Shaq joined the Lakers.”

“I Am Rapaport: Stereo Podcast” co-host Gerald Moody will join Rappaport at Barstool and producer Jordan Winter told TheWrap that the podcast will continue to be “Hard Body Karate and Bout It Bout It,” which are two phrases commonly used on the popular show.

Rapaport has frequently made news on his podcast, including mocking ESPN’s Dan Le Batard, calling comedian Aziz Ansari a “politically incorrect f—,” saying anyone who performs at Trump’s inauguration should be “ashamed” and referring to the alt-right as “Nazi c— suckers.”

“I consider my role to be s— talker extraordinaire,” Rapaport told the New York Post. “[Barstool] is a place where I can be free within reason … I love that they’re irreverent [and] I love that they don’t give a f—.”

Barstool Sports is a sports and men’s lifestyle blog that has branched out with an assortment of content and podcasts.
