CNN “New Day” co-host Michaela Pereira will exit the network and join HLN later this year, CNN announced on Tuesday.

Pereira will get her own three-hour show five days a week, which will air following “Morning Express with Robin Meade.” The show does not yet have a title or an official launch date, but is expected to launch in June.

Pereira’s last day at the “New Day” desk will be April 29, and she will officially join HLN on May 2.

“I’m very pleased to announce that Michaela Pereira is joining the HLN team and will serve as host of a new dayside show,” CNN executive vice president Ken Jautz said in a memo to staff obtained by TheWrap. “I’ve been vocal about wanting to strengthen our current programming line-up by increasing live hours in the day, and we hit the jackpot with Michaela. She is the perfect fit to HLN’s style of news.”

“Her infectious personality, news hosting chops and distinct interviewing skills will be front and center in her new three-hour live weekday show that will air late morning on the East coast, and will reunite her with her early morning viewers on the West coast,” Jautz continued. “Michaela has no better lead-in than Robin, our 15-year morning news host who has set the gold standard.”

Pereira first joined CNN in 2013. Prior to that, she was the co-host of KTLA’s morning news in Los Angeles for nine years. The show won nine Emmy awards during her tenure. She is represented by WME.
