Michelle Obama is trying her hand as an online editor. The First Lady will serve a stint as guest editor for women’s online hub iVillage for a week beginning on Aug. 20, the website announced on Monday.
She’ll use her online platform to tackle topics that have figured big on her agenda since President Obama took office and she transitioned into her current role as FLOTUS in 2009. With an eye on the kickoff of the new school year, Michelle Obama “will be here all week sharing her thought on how you can rev up your back-to-school routine while keeping your family healthy and active,” according to a promotion posted on iVillage.
Readers can send in their education, fitness and nutrition questions directly on the site or via Facebook and Twitter. iVillage Chief Correspondent Kelly Wallace will start the conversation with a sit-down chat with the First Lady on her first day on the job. Throughout the week, the site will also roll out content curated by Obama in keeping with her chosen themes.

Michelle Obama is the first in a series of special guest editors, iVillage President Jodi Kahn told the Associated Press, but the site has yet to name more famous names.
The First Lady is keeping busy as her husband makes his final push for re-election. She spent Sunday at two different Hollywood fund-raisers — the first at the home of pop star Gwen Stefani and the second at Warner Bros. chairman and CEO Barry Meyer’s house.
