Comedian Michelle Wolf just missed out on a huge opportunity. While she dared Donald Trump to attend her White House Correspondents’ Dinner gig, the writer for “Late Night With Seth Meyers” totally missed the chance to double dog dare him.
On Monday, Wolf told Jimmy Kimmel about when she first heard that the President of the United States would again not be attending the annual event.
“The first thing I thought was, ‘Oh thank God, I don’t have to hear Trump eat,’” she recalled. “You know he doesn’t chew with his mouth closed! He’s probably like a real smacky eater and a mouth-breather at the same time.”
Instead, Wolf gets the presence of Sarah Huckabee Sanders — not much of a consolation prize, we suppose. The “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” guest is holding out a bit of hope for Trump to experience a last-minute change-of-heart.
“If he does show up, it would be real fun,” Wolf told the ABC late-night show host last night.
And then the two of them concocted a brilliant plan to up the stakes for our commander-in-chief.
“I dare you, you poor little man,” Wolf said to the camera. “I’ll give you $5 if you come.”
