“The Middle” just added to its back-end.
ABC has ordered an additional two episodes to the ninth and final season of the sitcom, bringing the show’s total order to 24 episodes for the 2017-18 season.
“The Middle,” which stars Patricia Heaton, Neil Flynn, Charlie McDermott, Eden Sher and Atticus Shaffer, will air its landmark 200th episode on Dec. 5.
