ESPN’s ‘Mike and Mike’ Bid Emotional Farewell in Final Show (Video)

Radio and TV duo did nearly 18 years together on the air

Mike Greenberg and Mike Golic said goodbye to their radio and TV show “Mike and Mike” on Friday, after nearly 18 years together on ESPN.

“This is the part that will be a little difficult to get through,” Greenberg said at the very end of their final episode, as the co-hosts called their families to the stage.

“The most important words that I can think of today are ‘Thank You,’” an emotional Greeny continued to the audience. “Thank you to all of you for choosing this all these years.”

“Yeah, appreciate it very much,” a more stoic Golic added. “And as Greeny said, we’ll be around. I got a week, I’ll be back. He’ll be back in a few months. So, you’ll still get to see us, but this is the last time we can sign off together.”

Golic will continue in the time slot with Trey Wingo as his new co-host. Greenberg is set to begin a new morning TV show alongside Michelle Beadle and Jalen Rose, which will debut in the spring after ESPN completes construction on a new Manhattan studio.
