Milla Jovovich to Summit: ‘Shame on You’ for Ignoring ‘Three Musketeers’

Actress accuses studio of sweeping movie “under the rug” in favor of popular “Twilight” series

"The Three Musketeers" star Milla Jovovich already appears to be falling on her sword — and the movie hasn't even opened yet.

Jovovich, who plays Milady de Winter in the latest big-screen adaptation of Alexandre Dumas' classic tale, fired up her Twitter account Friday to remind audiences that the movie hits theaters tonight — because she thinks that the film's studio, Summit Entertainment, has been doing a lousy job of getting the word out.

The "Resident Evil" star all but accused Summit of sabotaging the movie through a lack of promotion, declaring, "Shame on you" to the studio via her account.

The harangue began with Jovovich's shout-out to her 825,000 followers, reminding them about the movie's opening.

"Also, '3 musketeers' opens in the US 2night!" Jovovich wrote while en route to Tokyo to promote the film. "Do you think ppl [sic] know abt [sic] the movie? Ask your friends! Do they know it's a fun family film?"

The 35-year-old, Ukrainian-born actress must have received a reply she didn't like, because shortly thereafter she began to question whether Summit might be abandoning its own film in favor of its hugely successful "Twilight Saga" series, whose penultimate installment, "Breaking Dawn — Part 1," opens Nov. 18.

"Are 'summit' promoting it as a family adventure movie?" Jovovich tweeted. "Or are they resting on their laurels from 'twilight' n making no effort? Let me know!"

Shortly thereafter, Jovovich went from questions to accusations, saying the studio has swept the movie "under the rug" for its domestic release.

"I think 'summit' hve [sic] swept '3 Musketeers,' a grt [sic] family adventure film, under the rug in the US," Jovovich fumed. "Shame on them. SHAME ON YOU 'SUMMIT.'"

Ouch! Forget the swords; Jovovich's tongue — err, fingers — are cutting enough.

Summit did not immediately respond to TheWrap's request for comment about Jovovich's accusation.
