“Younger” star Miriam Shor will guest star on FX’s upcoming miniseries “Mrs. America,” starring Elizabeth Banks and Cate Blanchett, TheWrap has learned exclusively.

The limited series tells the story of the movement to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA), and the unexpected backlash led by a conservative woman named Phyllis Schlafly, played by Blanchett. Through the eyes of the women of that era – both Schlafly and second wave feminists Gloria Steinem (Rose Byrne), Betty Friedan (Tracey Ullman), Shirley Chisholm (Uzo Aduba), Bella Abzug (Margo Martindale) and Jill Ruckelshaus (Banks) – the series explores how one of the toughest battlegrounds in the culture wars of the 70s helped give rise to the Moral Majority and forever shifted our political landscape.

Shor will play Natalie Gittelson. Special features editor at Harper’s Bazaar and divorced mother of three, Gittelson was Friedan’s best friend.

Other cast members include Kayli Carter, Ari Graynor, Melanie Lynskey, James Marsden, Sarah Paulson, John Slattery, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Tracey Ullman and Niecy Nash.

The series is set to premiere in 2020. It was created and written by Dahvi Waller, who executive produces with Stacey Sher, Coco Francini, Anna Boden, Ryan Fleck and Blanchett. Micah Schraft and James Skotchdopole co-executive produce.

Earlier this year, Shor was nominated for a Critics’ Choice Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for “Younger.” She has directed two episodes for the TV Land comedy, which she has starred on since its premiere in 2015. She will next be seen in the Netflix film “Lost Girls” opposite Amy Ryan.

Shor is repped by Impression Entertainment, Gersh and Schrek Rose Dapello Adams Berlin & Dunham
