Miss Golden Globe Corinne Foxx on Her Dad Jamie, Partying With Leo, Eating Pizza With Ellen (Video)

Daughter of “Ray” Oscar winner is latest Hollywood offspring to take on the title this Sunday

Her whole life, Corinne Foxx — daughter of Oscar winner Jamie Foxx — has been going to award shows.

She was there as her father won an Academy Award for best actor in 2005’s “Ray.” When host Ellen DeGeneres famously ordered pizza during 2014’s Oscars, she was close enough to the pie to get a slice –and snap a picture chowing down with Channing Tatum. In 2013, she took what could only be described as the the mother of all selfies sandwiched between her dad and Leonardo DiCaprio.

But this Sunday, Jan. 10, could be her biggest award night yet, as Foxx takes over the duties of Miss Golden Globe, a yearly tradition where children of famous actors get to escort award winners off the stage.

“I’ve been going to so many [award shows] for so long but this is definitely more special for me because I’m a part of it,” Foxx told TheWrap’s Mikey Glazer.

If before Foxx was too young to appreciate the glamorous night, now that she’s a college student, the enormity of it all is sinking in.

“I was so little I didn’t really understand the magnitude of it,” she said. “You’re like, ‘Oh I’m going to an award show,’ You’re 10 so you don’t really know how big it is. And to look back now I’m so happy I was there.”

How will she celebrate the big night once she’s done working?

“I’ll be going back to school on Monday,” Foxx said, laughing. “I cannot make any guarantees but I hope my teachers understand that I had a big night.”

The 73rd Golden Globe Awards air live this Sunday at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET on NBC.
