USA Network’s newest unscripted series, “Miz & Mrs.,” just scored the cable channel’s top reality show debut since 2011’s “Tough Enough.” What do they both have in common? WWE Superstars.

“Miz & Mrs.” posted 1.5 million total viewers on Tuesday night, following weekly episodic WWE wrestling show “SmackDown Live.” That one is highly rated too, and it hauled in 2.3 million overall audience members from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. last night, providing an excellent launching pad for the Mizanins.

USA Network prefers to judge its shows based on Nielsen’s Live + 3 Day numbers, which counts 72 hours of delayed viewing. Expect the NBCUniversal cable channel to report an even-larger number for its newest debut in a handful of days.

The “Total Divas” spinoff follows real-life married couple Mike “The Miz” Mizanin and Maryse Mizanin, who spend Season 1 moving from Los Angeles to Austin, Texas, following the birth of their first baby, daughter Monroe Sky.

“I don’t look at this as a reality show. I don’t look at it as an unscripted show,” The Miz told TheWrap in an interview tied to the series premiere. “I look at it more as a docuseries, documenting first time parents in the entertainment industry.”

“I also look at it as a ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm,’ an ‘Office,’ a ‘Modern Family,’” Miz said, imploring us to not focus on what’s real and what is set up for the cameras.

“Miz & Mrs.” airs Tuesday nights at 10/9c on USA Network, immediately following “SmackDown Live.”
