“Modern Family” co-creator Steve Levitan is sticking with 20th Century Fox Television.
Levitan has extended his overall deal with the studio, in a move that will keep him with 20th for at least four more years.

The deal will also keep Levitan on as executive producer and co-showrunner of the hit ABC comedy, and allow Levitan to develop and supervise new projects at 20th TV.
Levitan referred to 20th Century Fox Television chairmen and CEOs Gary Newman and Dana Walden as “the Jay Z and Beyonce of television executives” in a statement announcing the deal extension.

“I’m lucky to be part of a hit comedy that even my kids seem to like and I care deeply about it finishing strong,” Levitan noted. “I love all the wonderfully insane people with whom I get to work. Gary and Dana are the Jay Z and Beyonce of television executives. I see no reason to leave.”
Levitan, whose career also includes the comedies “Frasier” and “Just Shoot Me,” has been with the studio for more than 10 years.
