More ‘Dancing’ Rumors: Palin, Cho, Grey to Cut Footloose (updated)

Rumors swirl about who will compete for the trophy, but nothing is certain until next week’s official announcement

Rumors continue to fly fast and furious about which C-list actors and celebrities will compete on the upcoming season of "Dancing with the Stars."

The lastest allegedly vying to strut their stuff: Jennifer Grey and Margaret Cho (one of whom E! Online insists will partner with Derek Hough);  David Hasselhoff; Brandy; "Jersey Shore's" The Situation: and  Bristol Palin.

So far, no confirmation's from ABC, of course; the network will make its Aug. 30 on "The Bachelor Pad."

Sarah Palin's daughter may continue the family's newfound love affair with small screen stardom, if the report on E! is to believed. Maybe a healthy dollop of constructive criticism from Carrie-Ann Inaba, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli will be enough to help her get over her much publicized re-breakup with Levi Johnston.

The Hasselhoff report comes from Us Weekly, which also says "The Hills" alum Audrina Patridge will be stepping out on the dance show.

One person who won't be breaking out her dancing shoes, however, is Kirstie Alley, who had been rumored as a celeb dancer. E! reports that the former "Cheers" star won't be getting a call from ABC, after all.
