Morgan Spurlock to Receive CinemaCon Award

The “Super Size Me” writer, director and producer will be honored as “Documentary Filmmaker of the Year”

CinemaCon is super-honoring Morgan Spurlock.

The "Super Size Me" writer, director and producer will receive the CinemaCon Documentary Filmmaker of the Year Award, the group announced Friday.

"From his documentary debut with 2004's 'Super Size Me' to his upcoming release 'POM Wonderful Presents: The Greatest Movie Ever Sold,' Morgan Spurlock continues to entertain and educate audiences around the globe," CinemaCon's managing director, Mitch Neuhauser, said in a written statement.

"POM Wonderful Presents: The Greatest Movie Ever Sold" will be screened at the convention of motion picture theater industry professionals.

CinemaCon, the former ShoWest, runs from March 28-31 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
