Apple’s finale for the first season of the “The Morning Show” drops Friday, meaning Bradley Jackson’s (Reese Witherspoon) big interview is set to air in-universe on “The Morning Show” — or maybe it’s not.
In a clip from the season finale, which you can view above, Bradley tells Cory (Billy Crudup), Chip (Mark Duplass) and Mitch (Steve Carell) that her bombshell piece is “not ready to air” and it’s “too delicate” to rush. But Mitch disagrees, saying “we’ve got these f–kers dead to rights” and he wants to go now. Bradley responds that this is her interview, after all, but Chip and Cory are trying to coax her onto Mitch’s side — albeit more gently.
Oh, and let’s not forget that Alex (Jennifer Aniston) now knows that Bradley met with Mitch, so that has to be factored into the decision-making process here.
Here’s Apple TV+’s official description for the episode, which was written by showrunner Kerry Ehrin and directed by Mimi Leder: In the season finale of “The Morning Show” titled, “The Interview,” TMS faces a day of reckoning as a plan to upend the power structure at UBA is set in motion.
In addition to Aniston, Witherspoon, Carell, Crudup and Duplass, “The Morning Show” tsars Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Nestor Carbonell, Karen Pittman, Bel Powley, Desean Terry and Janina Gavankar.
The series has already been renewed for Season 2.
