Despite MoviePass parent company Helios & Matheson’s stock price still sitting at just under two cents, MoviePass Films has greenlit its next project, a horror film called “The Reckoning.”

Neil Marshall, who is directing the reboot of “Hellboy” at Lionsgate, is attached to direct the film starring Charlotte Kirk (“Ocean’s 8”), an individual with knowledge of the project told TheWrap.

“The Reckoning” is set in England in 1665 surrounding the events of the witch hunts and plague. Kirk plays Evelyn Haverstock, a young widow haunted by the recent suicide of her husband who is falsely accused of being a witch by her jealous landlord after she rejects his unwanted advances.

Marshall and Kirk co-wrote the script along with Edward Evers-Swindell. Kirk will also serve as an executive producer, and production is expected to begin on Jan. 15 in Wales.

In addition to “Hellboy,” Marshall is known for directing episodes of “Game of Thrones,” “Lost in Space” and “Westworld.”

Kirk’s next project is “Nicole & O.J.,” in which she stars as O.J. Simpson’s ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson.

MoviePass Films’ first project announced in August is “10 Minutes Gone,” starring Bruce Willis, after having acquired Emmett Furla Oasis Films (EFO) in May.

MoviePass’ parent company, Helios & Matheson, holds 51 percent of MoviePass films with EFO holding the remainder. MoviePass is hoping to use its ticket subscription service to promote its films to subscribers.

Deadline was first to report.
