‘Mr. Mercedes’: AT&T Audience Network Scares Up Season 2 Trailer for Stephen King Adaptation (Video)

Drama from David E. Kelly returns Aug. 22

AT&T Audience Network has released the trailer for the second season of its Stephen King-inspired series, “Mr. Mercedes.”

The series is based on King’s detective novel of the same name, which focuses on a psychopathic killer who commits mass murder by driving his Mercedes into a crowd and the recently retired cop who makes it his mission to bring him down.

The second season picks up a year after Brady Hartsfield’s (Harry Treadway) thwarted attempt to perpetrate a second mass murder in the community of Bridgton, Ohio. Since the incident, Hartsfield has been hospitalized in a vegetative state. Retired Detective Bill Hodges (Brendan Gleeson) has done his best to move on from his Brady obsession, teaming up with Holly Gibney (Justine Lupe) to open Finders Keepers, a private investigative agency. But when unexplainable occurrences begin to affect hospital staff members attending to Brady, Hodges is haunted by the feeling that Brady is somehow responsible.

The series also stars Holland Taylor, Mary-Louise Parker, Kelly Lynch, Brenda Wool, Scott Lawrence and Jharrel Jerome.

“Mr. Mercedes” returns for season two on Wednesday, August 22 at 10 p.m.
