USA Unveils ‘Mr. Robot’ Season 2 Trailer, First Look at ‘Shooter’ (Videos)

Gale Ann Hurd’s “Falling Water” also gets a first trailer

Ahead of its upfront presentation for the 2016-17 season, USA has unveiled the first trailers for Season 2 of “Mr. Robot,” as well as new series “Shooter” and “Falling Water.”

Season 2 of “Mr. Robot” sees Elliot and fsociety’s continued attempts to use their hacking skills to bring down the wealthy and corrupt corporations ruling America from the shadows, and this time, even President Obama gets wind of the dire situations at hand.

The award-winning drama hails from writer and executive producer Sam Esmail as well as Anonymous Content executive producers Steve Golin and Chad Hamilton, and is produced by Universal Cable Productions.

“Shooter” is based on the Stephen Hunter novel and Mark Wahlberg film of the same name, and stars Ryan Phillippe as Bob Lee Swagger, a highly-decorated ex-Marine sniper who is coaxed back into action after he learns about a plot to kill the President.

Wahlberg executive produces, along with Stephen Levinson and Lorenzo di Bonaventura. John Hlavin wrote the pilot and will also executive produce. Simon Cellan Jones directed the pilot. “Shooter” is a co-production of Paramount Television and Universal Cable Productions.

“Falling Water,” from Gale Anne Hurd, follows three unrelated people who slowly realize they are dreaming separate parts of a shared dream. The deeper they dig, the more they come to realize that the visions found in their common dream just might hold the key to the fate of the world. David Ajala, Will Yun Lee and Lizzie Brochere star.

The series, from Universal Cable Productions, is executive produced by Hurd, Blake Masters and the late Henry Bromell.

Season 2 of “Mr. Robot” premieres Wednesday, July 19 at 10 p.m. ET on USA. “Shooter” debut in the summer, and “Falling Water” will premiere in the fall.
