USA Network will not air the “Mr. Robot” season finale on Wednesday as planned due to the shooting of a TV news reporter and a cameraman in Roanoke, Virginia earlier in the day.

“The previously filmed season finale of ‘Mr. Robot‘ contains a graphic scene similar in nature to today’s tragic events in Virginia,” the network said in a statement. “Out of respect to the victims, their families and colleagues, and our viewers, we are postponing tonight’s episode. Our thoughts go out to all those affected during this difficult time.”

USA went on to say that the episode will air in its entirety next Wednesday at 10/9c. They will air the penultimate episode of the season tonight instead.

The move comes after a former reporter for television station WBDJ shot and killed two of his former colleagues live on the air. Reporter Alison Parker and cameraman Adam Ward died at the scene. A third victim, Vicki Gardner, was also shot but survived.

The shooter fled in his Ford Mustang, which police recovered after he dumped it in favor of a Chevy Sonic he rented earlier this month. Attempts to stop his vehicle were unsuccessful. He died at approximately 1:30 p.m. ET from self-inflicted gunshot wounds.
