Amal Uses Her Pee to Catch Fish on ‘Naked and Afraid’ – You Read That Right (Exclusive Video)

Discovery series returns Sunday when Hurricane Irma adds an extra reason to be afraid (and to not want to be naked)

“Naked and Afraid” contestant Amal’s got an interesting fishing technique: Pee in the water and bag up some of the little urine-lovers. Her partner Duke is into it, and you’re all gross. (Yes, you too, silverfish.)

Watch TheWrap‘s exclusive sneak peek via the video above. The clothes-less survival challenge returns Sunday night on Discovery Channel — just in time for Hurricane Irma.

Here’s the episodic description, per Discovery: A category five hurricane blasts through the camp of Amal — an Iraqi war refugee now living in Iowa — and her partner, Duke. In addition to the hurricane, the pair also endure venomous spiders, insects, and nocturnal predators in the swamps of Florida.

This season, survivalists also include a fashion tour producer, a retired marine and a biologist.

For the uninitiated, here is how the series works: Over 21 days, two complete strangers are paired together and tasked to survive against the relentless elements of the wild. Hungry predators, volatile climates, and scarce food and water are just baseline challenges.

“Naked and Afraid” is produced for Discovery Channel by Renegade 83; David Garfinkle, Jay Renfroe, Steve Rankin and Mathilde Bittner are executive producers. For Discovery, Joseph Boyle and Michael Gara are executive producers and Greg Wolf is coordinating producer.

Discovery’s “Naked and Afraid” returns Sunday, March 11 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
