Nancy Tellem, Jordan Levin Depart as Xbox Studios Closes in Massive Microsoft Layoffs

The tech giant lays off 3,000 staffers in restructuring

Xbox Studios head Nancy Tellem and executive vice president Jordan Levin were let go on Wednesday as part of the final round of layoffs in a massive restructuring by Microsoft.

The studio will officially close, according to Reuters.

“Nancy and Jordan were key members and visionaries for the XES team, and we thank them for their leadership and many contributions,” a Microsoft spokesperson said.

Microsoft created the entertainment studio in September 2012 and hired former CBS chief Nancy Tellem to run it. Tellem’s mandate was to create original shows that complement the movies and TV shows people already watched using their Xbox.
