"Nashville" is sticking around for a while.
The freshman drama, which stars "American Horror Story" alum Connie Britton and "Heroes" vet Hayden Panettiere in a soapy tale about one music star at her peak and one on the rise, has received a full-season order from ABC, a spokeswoman for the network told TheWrap on Monday.

The series premiered Oct. 10 to a solid 2.8 rating/8 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and 9 million total viewers, and has averaged a 3.2/9 in its maiden season, besting its Wednesdays at 10 p.m. competitors "Chicago Fire" and "CSI."
"Nashville" follows the new comedy "The Neighbors" and the returning drama "Scandal" as the third ABC series to receive a full-season order this fall.
In addition to "Nashville's" pick-up, the network has given orders for three additional scripts to both the Tim Allen comedy "Last Man Standing," which premiered its second season Nov. 2, and the new Reba McEntire comedy "Malibu Country."
