NATPE 2010: Three Days Only

NATPE, the TV industry’s annual syndication convention, will return to Las Vegas next year– but it will be a bit shorter than in years past.

The National Association of Television Programming Executives said Tuesday that its 2010 powwow will take place over three days from Monday, January 25 through Wednesday, January 27. In recent years, the show has run for four days.

NATPE will once again be held at the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas.

The big question for NATPE is whether or not organizers will attempt to organize a traditional convention floor featuring various TV studios and programmers. Industry insiders suggest that there won’t be a traditional NATPE floor next year, and that most business will be done in conference rooms at the Mandalay Bay or in private suites at surrounding hotels.
