NBC Adds ‘Today Show’ Host Natalie Morales to ‘Rock Center’

Morales joins an expanding roster of star correspondents

So who at NBC News isn’t helping out with “Rock Center With Brian Williams”?

Steve Capus, President of NBC News, announced Tuesday that Natalie Morales, the news anchor of “The Today Show” and co-host of its third hour, will be a correspondent for the upcoming weekly newsmagazine.

Morales joins an all-star cast of correspondents that now includes Ted Koppel, Harry Smith, Kate Snow, Meredith Vieira, Richard Engel and Dr. Nancy Snyderman, as well as her "Today" colleagues Matt Lauer and Ann Curry. The list seems to grow each week. Koppel had been the most recent addition, officially joining Oct. 13.

“A familiar face at NBC News, Natalie brings a breadth of experience to ‘Rock Center with Brian Williams,’” said Capus. “Not only has she been in the trenches with her award-winning reporting, she brings curiosity and compassion to the stories that she tells, and we’re thrilled to have her on board with this new broadcast.”

Morales will not leave her duties at “The Today Show” for “Rock Center,” which debuts Oct. 31 at 10 p.m.

Prior to joining “Today,” she was a national correspondent for the “NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams” and “Dateline,” as well as an anchor at MSNBC.
