Jenny McCarthy will take on hosting duties for “Love in the Wild” when it returns for season 2 in June

"American Ninja Warrior" and "Love in the Wild" will return to the airwaves in May and June, respectively, while the new series "Saving Hope" will make its debut in June, NBC said Thursday.

The competition series "Love in the Wild," which premiered last year, will return with a two-hour season premiere on June 7 at 8 p.m., with actress Jenny McCarthy taking on hosting duties. McCarthy "will head to the tropical paradise of the
Dominican Republic to guide contestants through rigorous adventures as well as the choppy waters of relationships in their quest to find love," according to the network. Following the premiere, the show will resume in its regular time slot of Thursdays at 9 p.m. on June 14.

The "Love in the Wild" premiere will be followed by the series premiere of the one-hour drama "Saving Hope" at 10. The series, starring "Smallville" actress Erica Durance and "Stargate Atlantis" alum Michael Shanks, follows a chief of surgery (Shanks) who wanders his hospital in "spirit" form after falling into a coma, as his colleagues try to save him.

"American Ninja Warrior," a collaborative effort between NBC, G4 and Tokyo Broadcasting System, will follow competitors as they take on challenges an obstacle courses in pursuit of a $500,000 cash prize. After airing the season finale of the series as a special last year, NBC will be co-broadcasting the show with G4, with G4 airing the preliminary rounds and NBC broadcasting the preliminary finals and the grand finale.

This will mark the first time that the competition series, which is spun off from the Japanese series "Sasuke," is being held entirely on U.S. soil. The two-hour premiere of "American Ninja Warrior" will air May 21 at 9 p.m.
