NBC Picks Up ‘Chicago Fire’ Spinoff, ‘Undateable,’ ‘Ironside’ Pilots (Updated)

Comedy from "Cougar Town" executive producer follows a bunch of romatically challenged friends; "L.A. Law" alum Blair Underwood to play iconic "Ironside" role

NBC has picked up a comedy from the executive producer of "Cougar Town" and a revamp of the classic  "Ironside," starring Blair Underwood ("L.A. Law") in the title role.

"Undateable" stars Chris D'Elia as a confident slacker who takes on a roommate, unwittingly inheriting his circle of romantically challenged friends. Adam Sztykiel, Bill Lawrence ("Cougar Town") and Jeff Ingold are executive producing, with Sztykiel writing.

"Ironside" is a revamp of the Raymond Burr series about a wheelchair-bound detective who doesn't allow his disability to limit him. Michael Caleo is writing and executive producing. David Semel, Teri Weinberg, John Davis and Jon Fox are also executive producing.
