NBC has promoted unscripted executive George Sealey to senior vice president, alternative programming and development, the network announced Tuesday.

Sealey joined NBC in 2012 as a vice president, and since then has worked on “The Celebrity Apprentice,” “Running Wild With Bear Grylls,” “The Biggest Loser” and upcoming shows “Better Late Than Never” and “Law & Order: You the Jury.”

In his new role, Sealey will report to Meredith Ahr, executive vice president, alternative programming, NBC Entertainment.

“George has both a great appreciation for what viewers want to see and a terrific skill set in producing compelling television,” Ahr said in a statement. “His dedication and leadership make every show he’s associated with better. His ability to be creative, collaborative and forward thinking make him a key member of our team as we evolve the genre forward.”

Prior to joining NBC, Sealey was a producer for NBC series “The Apprentice” and “Fashion Star.”
