Eva Longoria-produced dating series, "Ready for Love," didn't make a love connecton with viewers. NBC has pulled it from the Tuesday schedule.
The network is moving its supernatural drama “Grimm” from its 9 p.m. slot on Fridays to replace the series on Tuesdays at 10 p.m. beginning April 30, behind a previously scheduled two-hour episode of “The Voice.”
“Grimm” will remain in that 10 p.m. Tuesday timeslot through May 21. “Dateline” will replace “Grimm” at 9 p.m. Fridays, beginning April 26.
"Ready for Love" premiered soft with 1.6 rating/4 share and 3.8 million total viewers. Its second week saw a 13 percent decline in the ad-coveted 18-49 demographic with a 1.3/4 and 3.4 million viewers. In the end, NBC probably couldn't afford letting the series drag down its ratings average for the night.
Hosted by Bill and Giuliana Rancic, "Ready for Love" sought to find a match for three bachelors using three professional matchmakers and harnessing the power of Facebook, among other platforms, to search for eligible bachelorettes.
It has not yet been determined when or where remaining episodes of “Ready for Love” will be aired.
It will be interesting to see how this move to Tuesdays will fare for "Grimm," which had some difficulty in the ratings on Thursday nights, then found an audience and thrived on Fridays.
"Ready for Love" is produced by Renegade 83, UnbeliEVAble Entertainment and Universal Television. Longoria ("Desperate Housewives"), Jason Ehrlich ("The Bachelor," "The Bachelorette"), Greg Goldman ("Secret Millionaire," "Don't Forget the Lyrics!"), David Garfinkle ("Blind Date," "The 5th Wheel") and Jay Renfroe ("Blind Date," "The 5th Wheel") serve as executive producers.
