Daily Candy Exec Alison Moore Named GM, EVP of NBCUniversal’s TV Everywhere

Moore most recently held the same titles at DC, which NBCU is shuttering along with TVWithoutPity

NBCUniversal has named Alison Moore general manager and executive vice president for TV Everywhere in its Content Distribution Group.

In the newly-created role, Moore will be responsible for the TV Everywhere initiative, building a team to drive the consumer experience and develop marketing and strategy to increase audience awareness, adoption and engagement across the company’s portfolio of networks.

Moore will work with Ron Lamprecht, who will have expanded responsibilities in his current role as Executive Vice President, Digital Distribution. Lamprecht will broaden his focus on driving deal activity with current and future linear providers, operational delivery, and the current season TV windowing strategy for NBCUniversal’s New Media platforms.

Over the last year, NBCUniversal’s TV Everywhere has reached distribution deals with 80 percent of the marketplace.

Moore was most recently the General Manager and Executive Vice President of Daily Candy. Prior to coming to NBCU, she was HBO’s senior vice president of Digital Products. Before the pay-TV tenure, Moore worked at Cablevision, Turner Broadcasting and various digital start-ups.

Moore and Lamprecht will both report directly to Matt Bond, Executive Vice President, Content Distribution.

“Alison’s proven leadership in digital media — from small start-ups to major media companies — adds tremendous value to our rapidly evolving content distribution effort,” Bond said in a statement.

He added: “We have made tremendous strides making content available to fans when and where they want to watch it. Just last year NBCUniversal distributed 140 TV series on TV Everywhere marking more than 50 percent growth from the previous year. Now more than 16 networks are hosting 6,000 episodes per year of the freshest and best shows.”
