‘NCIS’ Adds Wilmer Valderrama as Season 14 Series Regular

“That 70s Show” alum to play agent who resurfaces after years in deep cover

Wilmer Valderrama Minority Report NCIS

Wilmer Valderrama will join “NCIS” Season 14 as a series regular, TheWrap has learned.

Valderrama will play a once-grounded NCIS field agent who accepted a deep cover assignment years ago and never resurfaced. Now, he’s back and his dedication to job and country has left him an unpredictable loose cannon.

Valderrama recently had a recurring role on “Grey’s Anatomy.” His additional television credits include “That 70s Show,” “Minority Report,” “From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series” and “Awake.” He also hosted the MTV insult comedy series “Yo Momma.”

Wilmer Valderrama will be able to flex his dramatic, physical and comedic talents in this classic ‘NCIS’ role,” executive producer Gary Glasberg said. “Fans are going to see him like they’ve never seen him before. This is going to be fun. We’re thrilled he’s coming aboard.”

“NCIS” stars Mark Harmon, Pauley Perrette, Sean Murray, Rocky Carroll, Emily Wickersham, Brian Dietzen and David McCallum. It is produced by Belisarius Productions in association with CBS Television Studios.

Back in January, longtime cast member Michael Weatherly announced he would be leaving the show. Weatherly played Special Agent Tony DiNozzo for 13 seasons. He did not stray from the CBS fold for long, however, as he was shortly thereafter cast in the lead role of “Bull,” a fall show inspired by the life of Dr. Phil McGraw.
