BBC America announced on Friday that the eighth season of “Doctor Who” will premiere on Sat., August 23, at 8/7 c with a feature-length episode entitled “Deep Breath.”
The network also released a new teaser, which is an extended version of the first teaser showing Peter Capaldi as the 12th Doctor. This time, Doctor’s Companion Clara (Jenna Coleman) also gets a little screentime. “Am I a good man?” he asks her. Her answer is rather ominous.

Capaldi’s Doctor was first introduced in November’s 50th Anniversary Special, which also included appearances from the 10th Doctor, David Tennant, and outgoing 11th Doctor Mat Smith.
Samuel Anderson is also joining the the “Doctor Who” cast in the new season as Danny Pink, a teacher at Coal Hill School where Clara also works.
