New ‘Let’s Make a Deal’ Will Play the Trop

Gameshow revival is headed to the legendary Vegas resort.

CBS and FremantleMedia North America are taking their new version of "Let’s Make A Deal" to Las Vegas’s legendary Tropicana Hotel and Casino.

The new Wayne Brady-hosted gameshow will begin taping Tuesday, Sept. 15 at the resort. Producers revealed plans to bring the show to Las Vegas last month but declined to say where it would be based until now.

The deal to base "Deal" comes just months after new ownership, led by gaming icon Alex Yemenidjian, took control of the 52-year-old Trop. The new owners have announced plans for a nearly $100 million renovation and expansion of the the property, and having "Deal" based on site could help lure new visitors to the casino, which has struggled in recent years against newer, shiner competition.

For Brady, the pact means he’ll be splitting his time in Las Vegas between two casinos. He currently fronts his own one-man show at the Venetian.

CBS and Fremantle are distributing free tickets to tapings of "Deal" via cbs.com/daytime/lets_make_a_deal.

The new "Deal" premieres Monday, Oct. 5.
