Viewers had even more reason to watch ABC’s TGIT Thursday night when a new “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” teaser aired during the lineup that boasts “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Scandal” and “How to Get Away With Murder.”
The minute-long clip on the Disney-owned networks shows Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Finn (John Boyega) meeting for the first time — “I don’t know your name,” she tells him — along with Rey and Han Solo together as Harrison Ford makes his historic return to the franchise by handing her a blaster.
“Nothing will stand in our way … I will show them the Dark Side,” Adam Driver‘s imposing Kylo Ren later pledges.

Those wanting action got glimpses of aerial fights between Imperial Tie Fighters and the Millennium Falcon, along with the inevitable flashing lightsabers.
Fans of the iconic sci-fi franchise also got a few fleeting and furry images of Wookiee warrior Chewbacca in the 60-second preview.
The special TV spot was introduced by writer/producer Shonda Rhimes, who told viewers: “A mentor who doesn’t believe they know everything and doesn’t think they are God is a more interesting mentor … and a more reliable one.”

Comic-Con footage let us view a shot of a captured Poe being led by a Stormtrooper to an uncertain fate. Could that possibly be Finn holding Poe at blaster point?

In the new trailer, Ren subjects Poe to a new kind of Force torture (not a Force choke as some fans think, as that particular move makes it impossible to do anything other than gag).

Finn later crashes down on a desert planet, now in possession of Poe's jacket which he seems to wear through the rest of the film.
