Nichelle Nichols, Lieutenant Uhura in the “Star Trek” TV show and movies, has suffered a mild stroke.
The word that Nichols, aged 82, suffered the stroke came Thursday on her official Facebook page.
“Last night while at her home in L.A., Nichelle Nichols suffered from a mild stroke,” said Zach McGinnis of Galactic Productions, who represents Nichols. “She is currently undergoing testing to determine how severe the stroke was. Please keep her in your thoughts.”
Nichols was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital and is resting after undergoing treatment and tests, her representatives confirmed to TheWrap.
