Nick Offerman Roasts D.C. at Congressional Correspondents Dinner (Video)

The “Parks and Recreation” star lampooned everyone from Eric Cantor to the reporters themselves

“Parks and Recreation” star Nick Offerman took aim at Eric Cantor, Fox News and the Washington press corps during the annual Congressional Radio and TV Correspondents dinner.

Offerman hosted the gathering on Thursday night and fired off several jabs directed at the inside the Beltway crowd and the GOP. “Republicans have come around with sex education. I heard they finally decided to teach fracking in schools.”

Next he set his sights of House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, who was just defeated in Virginia’s primary election. “I’m sure you all heard the news about Eric Cantor, on Tuesday, he tragically got himself a job at Fox News.”

Not even the correspondents themselves were safe. “The news media speaks very loudly and does not own any sticks,” the actor said before moving on to lecturing the crowd about the Bill of Rights. His speech was predictably blind to the foibles of the left but relied heavily on the age old adage, “if it’s funny, it’s okay.”
