Witnesses said Cage was "very drunk" and arguing loudly with his wife Alice on the streets of New Orleans early Saturday morning.

According to media reports, a cab driver saw Cage arguing with and then pushing his wife early Saturday. After police were called and the couple were urged to go home, Cage dared them to arrest him — twice. (Police mug shot from Orleans Parish website)

Cage is in New Orleans to film a new movie, "Medallion," financed by NuImage and Millenium Films. Cage plays a former thief who searches for his missing daughter, who has been kidnapped and locked in the trunk of a taxi.

The 47-year-old actor once owned two houses in the city, but lost both of them in foreclosure. He faced a lien in 2009 over nearly $7 million in unpaid taxes.
