MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace Blasts Trump and Kim: ‘Both Men Are Known and Established Liars’

‘It is not knowable that we’ll ever know really what happened in that meeting,” says Nicolle Wallace on set at MSNBC Monday

MSNBC anchor Nicolle Wallace on Monday said the world may never know just what went on in President Donald Trump’s private meeting with North Korea’s Kim Jong Un because both men’s reputation for dishonesty.

“It is a known unknown what was discussed and it is not knowable that we’ll ever know really what happened in that meeting ’cause both men are known and established liars,” said Wallace, who then promptly hedged that she was not calling anyone a liar, but merely repeating earlier reporting from MSNBC correspondent Keir Simmons.

“That was Keir Simmons reporting,” she said. “I think we all know that about Donald Trump.”

As for Kim, the head of a Communist autocracy regularly participates in regime propaganda designed to obscure the nation’s crippling poverty and other woes.

Trump and Kim met for a half day of meetings and a working lunch in Singapore early Tuesday, local time.

It was the first time a sitting U.S. president has ever met a North Korean leader. In a joint communication, the two agreed that they would seek to denuclearize the Korean peninsula, though no timetable or terms were laid out. In return, Trump said he would end “provocative” war games held annually with military units of the United States and South Korea.

In a lengthy press conference after the summit, he also reaffirmed his desire to remove U.S. troops from South Korea sometime in the future.
