NY Online Critics: ‘Social Network,’ Portman, Franco

“Social Network” wins three, “The Fighter” picks up both supporting awards

"The Social Network" chalked up another victory on Sunday afternoon, taking the Best Picture award from the New York Film Critics Online.

In the awards, which are far newer and less prestigious than the New York Film Critics Circle Awards, which will be announced on Monday, "The Social Network" also won awards for director David Fincher and screenwriter Aaron Sorkin.

Natalie Portman picked up another critics award for her lead performance in "Black Swan," while James Franco entered the critics-award picture with a Best Actor victory for "127 Hours."

The supporting awards went to Christian Bale and Melissa Leo, both from "The Fighter."
