The New York Times on Friday unveiled a new TV commercial that it plans to air during Sunday’s broadcast of the Golden Globes Awards — one that hits Hollywood right in the gut.

The new text-only ad subtly spotlights the paper’s recent bombshell reporting on sexual misconduct issues in Hollywood, beginning with its October reporting on multiple accusations against now-disgraced mogul and producer Harvey Weinstein.

In the spot, the phrase “He said. She said” is repeated until a string of dozens of “She said” phrases appear in a long unbroken chain.

The ad concludes with the tagline: “The truth has power. The truth will not be threatened. The truth has a voice.”

The commercial is the first part of a new marketing campaign to highlight the Times’ investigations into sexual misconduct including Jodi Kantor and Megan Twohey’s reports on Harvey Weinstein, Emily Steel and Michael Schmidt’s work on former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly and Joe Coscarelli and Melena Ryzik’s reports on music impresario Russell Simmons.
