‘The Odd Life of Timothy Green’: the New ‘Bambi’? (Video)

The children in this viral video may be seeking therapy over the ending to "The Odd Life of Timothy Green"

Looks like "Bambi" and "Old Yeller" may have some competition in the traumatic movie memories category: "The Odd Life of Timothy Green."

For decades the shooting of the lovable deer's mother and the euthanizing of the plucky family pet have haunted the dreams of young moviegoers, but now the tearjerker ending of "Timothy Green" may be sending a new generation of kids into therapy. It's worth noting that all three films are the product of cuddly family movie house, Disney.

A video of two sobbing children reacting to "Timothy Green" has gone viral with more than 350,000 YouTube views since it was posted over the weekend.

In it, the two boys weep profusely and border on emotional hysterics when describing the film's lessons in mortality.

"It was super sad," one of them chokes out through tears.

It's possible, of course, that their outbursts have been faked, but if that's the case, a promising acting career awaits.

A spokesman for Disney did not immediately comment on the video.

"Timothy Green" focuses on a couple whose wish to have a child is granted when a mysterious boy with leaves growing out of his ankles appears in their lives. Without giving away too much, the plant-like title character appears to have an expiration date.

"All his leaves came off, so he had to go," one of the boys in the video sobs.

The film debuted last weekend and grossed a modest $10.8 million. The video of the tear-soaked children should entice parents looking to inflict some psychological scars on their progeny.
