How Long Did Oprah Consider Responding to Trump’s Insulting Tweet? ‘Not a Second’ (Video)

And no, she’s “definitely” (definitely, DEFINITELY) not running for president, “60 Minutes” correspondent tells Jimmy Kimmel

Oprah Winfrey’s life has been dominated lately by the office of President of the United States — in more ways than one.

For starters: “I am definitely not running for President,” she told Jimmy Kimmel on Thursday.

“You know, you give a speech and then you sit down and you’ve surprisingly started running for President,” Oprah quipped of her Golden Globes moment.

And then there was Sunday night’s insulting tweet by our current POTUS directed at the woman who is definitely not going to be his 2020 political opponent. (Seriously, it’s time to let that idea go.)

“Did you ever think of tweeting back a response?” the “Jimmy Kimmel Live” host asked her of this doozy.

“Not a second. Not a second,” Oprah replied. “You don’t win by meeting any kind of negativity head-on.”

On Sunday, Donald Trump tweeted the following: “Just watched a very insecure Oprah Winfrey, who at one point I knew very well, interview a panel of people on ’60 Minutes.’ The questions were biased and slanted, the facts incorrect. Hope Oprah runs so she can be exposed and defeated just like all of the others!”

That evening on the CBS newsmagazine show, the former daytime star had asked Trump and anti-Trump voters in Michigan whether they still shared their feelings about the president. She also raised a number of his more infamous controversies as discussion points.

Oprah shrugged off the offensive tweet earlier yesterday on Ellen — watch that video here.
