What do you get for the woman who has everything? How about her own action figure?
Over the weekend, Oprah Winfrey got her first look at the toy version of Mrs. Which, the character she plays in Ava DuVernay’s upcoming film adaptation of the legendary sci-fi novel “A Wrinkle in Time.”
Mrs. Which is one of three supernatural beings — along with Mrs. Who and Mrs. Whatsit (Mindy Kaling and Reese Witherspoon, respectively), who guide Meg Murry (Storm Reid) and her friends on their journey to find her lost father (Chris Pine).
Winfrey’s reaction, as one might expect, was with overwhelming excitement. But DuVernay would like to remind everyone that even though the Mrs. Which doll came in the same sort of box you would find a Barbie in, Oprah referred to the toy as an action figure, not a doll.
I love that she calls the doll an “action figure.” That’s how warriors think. Big!pic.twitter.com/H2BT5LopWK
