Hollywood stars and politicians took to social media Thursday to express their shock and sadness over a mass shooting at the Umpqua Community College in Oregon that has reportedly left at least 10 dead and 20 wounded. Oregon Governor Kate Brown confirmed that the gunman was a 20-year-old male, and he is now dead.
“While U.S. has 5% of the world’s population, it saw 31% of public mass shootings,” “Zero Dark Thirty” actress Jessica Chastain tweeted.
E! News host Maria Menounos also weighed in on the tragedy, writing, “Why can’t we fix this?!!”
